ADVANCED ENGLISH PROGRAM
Welcome to SFL Advanced English Program!
The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) offers a variety of English language courses for ITU undergraduate students. Advanced English (AE) courses provide students with academic studies skills such as researching, identifying reliable sources, organizing information, and presenting within an academic framework. The AE courses learning strategy is focused on the development of 21st-century core skills - 4Cs: Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT COURSES
The Advanced English Program includes a set of courses aiming at helping students acquire academic English skills needed during their
undergraduate studies at ITU as well as in their professional life. The courses are ING 100, ING 103, ING 112A, and ING 201A. In addition, there are ING 105, ING 106, ING 205, and ING 206 courses designed specifically for the Turkish Music State Conservatory
students.
ING-CODED COURSE RULES AND REGULATIONS
· According to ITU regulations, students should attend 70% of the total credit hours. That is to say, students cannot miss more than 12 hours maximum for ING 100 courses; 8 hours for ING 112A and ING 201A courses.
Students who are more than ten minutes late for a lesson are marked absent for that hour only.
· Assignments must be submitted on the day they are due, during class time. Failing to submit an assignment on the due date, at the specified time, will result in a ZERO for that assignment.
· Students who plagiarize, in anyway or form, will get a ZERO.
